Peer Reviews

I really liked the use of the perspective change with the vlogging, it was very clever. There were not enough camera shots. This looks like a full short film and doesn't feel like a movie opener. Why was Derek (I think that's the name) trying to kidnap her? Where is Jules? I'd say add more foley sounds, maybe a background track.

The parallel shots were really cool and I felt like the shots used were really good. But I feel like the story went by too fast and was kind of boring because of the lack of tension. This did not feel like a movie opener to me personally cause there was a resolution. I was just confused throughout the entire short. I'd say maybe try to leave it on a more unresolved note.

I really appreciated the longer shots and the camera work throughout this short, as well as the small soundtrack used in the flashback scenes, adding more dimension to the scene. One thing I didn't like was the longer shots. I did think it was like a good movie opener. The story was very clear. I'd say maybe try making some scenes cleaner and it would all be good.

The ominous vibe and the colors are very well established, overall it's very good, and I really appreciate the different shots. What I would criticize is there's some scenes that are shot in the dark and because of the contrast in light, the camera isn't fully focused and it makes it unclear. The story for this one was also very clear and I found it entertaining. This short is pretty good and I don't really have any other criticisms other than fixing the focus on the darker scenes.
