Editing 2

So after we finished with all the initial filming (although our film isn't close to done), I decided to use CapCut in order to continue with the editing process. I had to abandon my original clip once I had realized it was much easier to edit on my phone. I begun putting the pieces together today and I finished. For the editing itself, it was easy to do for the most part except for finding some royalty free music that fit the beginning and also finding a font for the title sequence. I discussed with my group and gave them some options for what fonts I had in mind. These were some of the options:

 

Editing 1

Editing has started, and Clarrisa and I are coming up with ideas. Our group already agreed to use a black screen to transition into the title. We want the title frame to connect with our film and characters, so we decided to put symbols in each corner that represent our main characters.

We also plan to add an animation right after the last line is spoken. Clarrisa suggested using establishing shots at the beginning to lead smoothly into Scene 1. We haven’t run into any editing problems yet since we’re still in the early stages, but we still need to figure out how to design the title frame and add it to our editing software.

The editing process is quite simple, since we are only adding overlays and small transitions. Once we shoot everything, I will get to working on placing all the scenes together. But for now, we've been thinking of how to get the animation right for the ending. I was thinking of drawing the graphics seperately on a different software, and then placing them together onto the original project (which we're using CapCut as our software) in order to put each piece together. As for the title sequence, I was going to add them to the first scene but I tried a few different fonts so I could see what looked best. 

Filming Process

 we had started with the first scene, did some reshoots from the last time, filmed with a better camera, and talked a lot about our characters. The main thing was getting the characters down with everyone, so I decided to make pinterest boards for each of the characters so everyone could get their outfits and style for their characters.

Challenges in Filming

 We have had many complications with filming. Our main issue was logistics and scheduling. It took us a while to get everybody together. We had originally scheduled stuff in December, but then we figured we would wait until February so we could do everything in one shot. That did not work out cause now we had a lot of complications with being able to get together. 

We finally begun filming today (02/11/25), which we only worked on scene 1. Here are some photos of the film process today:

We had only begun working on scene 1 for today and hopefully for the rest of the week we'll be working on the next few scenes. The whole script is 6 scenes and we'll be working hopefully on scenes 2-4 for the rest of the week.
